"Even when you lose your voice, the heart still finds a way to speak." — Terence Ang

If someone had told me five years ago, when I was lying in a hospital bed struggling to speak, that I would go on to write not one, but five books, I might not have believed them.

But here I am — living proof that even in our darkest hours, hope can take root. That with persistence, heart, and a deep will to heal, we can rise again. And not just rise — but fly.

My fifth book, Thunderstroke: A Poetry Memoir Inspired by a True Story, was a new kind of expression for me. Poetry let me say the things that my voice still sometimes struggles to find. It came from the quiet moments, from the ache and the hope, the confusion and the clarity that comes after a storm.

And now, I’m filled with something even more powerful — gratitude.

Because today, I signed a contract for the Chinese edition of my book.

Yes — Thunderstroke will soon be available in Chinese.

I don’t write in Chinese. But I understand it. I feel its rhythm. Its elegance.

The Chinese language is rich, poetic, and full of depth — much like the emotions I tried to pour into every line of my poetry. So to have my work translated into this beautiful language is not just an achievement…

It’s a dream I didn’t even know I was allowed to have.

I often say that every ending is a new beginning. And I truly believe now, more than ever, that:

The best is yet to come.

No matter how far you've come, there is more light ahead.

More to give.

More to learn.

More to become.

If you’re reading this and feel stuck — whether in your recovery, your career, your passion, or even your purpose — I want you to know: Your story isn’t over.

In fact, the most beautiful chapters may still be waiting to be written.

When I lost my voice, I found new ways to speak.

When I felt broken, I found strength in creativity.

And now, as I look toward the future — with a Chinese edition of Thunderstroke on the way — I carry this message close to my heart:

✨ Believe in your journey. Believe in your healing. Believe that your best days are not behind you — they are still ahead.

The best is yet to come. Believe it.
