Six years ago, a hemorrhagic stroke changed my life. Aphasia affected my ability to speak, read and write. Words that once came naturally became a daily struggle.

What began as a deeply personal journey of pain, recovery and self-discovery has become a story reaching readers beyond Singapore.

With World Stroke Day approaching on October 29, this moment is more than seeing my book in an international publication.
It is another opportunity to raise awareness about aphasia and remind the world that stroke survivors still have stories to tell, dreams to pursue and contributions to make.
