After almost 10 years, I finally have a new passport — and I’m ready for the world. 🌍
It may sound simple, but for me, it’s a big step. During COVID, I suffered a stroke. Since then, I’ve been hesitant to travel. Long flights, unfamiliar places, the unknowns — they all felt daunting, especially for someone like me who’s a little rigid, has OCD tendencies, and holds high expectations.
This afternoon, I went to the post office to collect my new passport; holding it felt like a small victory — joy, courage… and yes, a bit of fear too. ✈️
I’m dreaming of New York City and the UK — hopefully to attend the award presentation for my book. It still feels surreal. Yet, the resistance to travel is strong. The fear runs so deep that even the thought of crossing the Causeway to Johor makes me pause.
But here I am, choosing courage over comfort, taking the first step toward new adventures. 🌏
One page. One stamp. One journey at a time. 💪💫
I am ready for the world.
